The Scoop on Poop
Share
The benefits of feeding a raw diet to your pet are many. But here’s one about number two that might surprise you.
Pets poop less often on a raw diet!
Compared to their kibble-fed counterparts, pets fed a raw diet usually poop less often (frequency) and have smaller poops (volume).
Why?
Biologically-appropriate raw foods have greater digestibility than kibble. A raw diet offers quality proteins and essential nutrients, all without the fillers present in many commercial kibbles. So, when your pet regularly feasts on raw, they absorb more nutrients from meals and expel less waste.
The result: fewer, smaller, and firmer poops. And as the poop-picker-upper in our household, I’m all for that!
